Montemar Beach Club’s greatest advantage is its accessibility from Manila. Without taking a plane or even your own car, you can reach it in two hours by ferryboat and then by van. Montemar is a good place for relaxation. It is set in a rocky, wooded cove with a long beautiful beach surrounded by a garden of bougainville, flame tree, travelers’ trees and coconut palms. Coral Beach Club is the resort situated very close to Manila with a white sand beach, albeit artificial, the Matabungkay Beach. It is frequented primarily by golfers. It was launched by the owners of Lago de Oro Beach Club and was passed on several years ago to its current owners, Canadian Michael Hudson, an avid golfer and his Filipina wife, Carla.
